Mayan Elder, Ajq'ij, explains the 2012 Calendar and the changes to come
"We are no longer in the World of the Fourth Sun, but we are not yet in the World of the Fifth Sun. This is the time in-between, the time of transition. As we pass through transition there is a colossal, global convergence of environmental destruction, social chaos, war, and ongoing Earth Changes."

My Cherokee name is Uwayi (Ooh-wah-yee) meaning hand. I give all the glory to the Spirit and Creator as He just guided my hand in this. Here is the message:
Humanity is here for some higher purpose other than that of the animal or the apparent generality of external things... Humans leverage life in truths and illusions. How we package each event sequence determines if we leverage selfishly or in unconditional love for others.
In each and every case, the hierarchy of human survival is at stake. Should this be judged from the standpoint of the self or of the collective? Many, without hesitation, take the self or narcissistic point of view in every life event 85% of their lifetime.

TWO PATHS: The Hopi Prophecy
Thomas O. Mills grew up on the Hopi Reservation in Arizona. His Mom ran the visitor's center, which is still there. Surrounded by the "old school" of Hopi elders, Thomas was exposed to their culture, stories and prophecies. These had a lasting impact on his view of his own White culture, why it has been the source of so much sadness and spiritual emptiness. In his adult life, he began writing about our world through the eyes and ears of the Hopi elders, with whom he stayed in touch.
While most of the Hopi have been influenced by modern culture, a few still keep the spark of Truth alive, as given to them by the Creator, thousands of years ago. Christianity has its Two Great Commandments and the Hopi have their Two Paths of action. I asked Thomas to describe these paths as they are etched in stone on the Hopi Reservation.

Let Goodness Take Its Place (Aleut Nation)
Llarion (Larry) Merculieff grew up on Pribilof Island and is a member of the Aleut, who have inhabited the Bering Sea islands for over ten thousand years. Surviving and thriving in one of the most foreboding regions of our planet requires stamina and spiritual centering. Gifted with both intellect, insight and prose, Larry has been sought out to teach the ways of his people, the Aleut. We present some of his wisdom here.
Larry gave this speech to a meeting of Aleut elders who had assembled to hear his important message. Larry began his speech in the Aleut language with the saying, "The afternoon tastes good." He continued...
"You are the second group of people that have invited me to talk on something that is very special. I have been asked to give you some messages from the spiritual leaders of the Hopi and [also the] Maori people from New Zealand. When I went up to Canada one and 1/2 years ago, I went there to be with the Stony Elders. They invited me to go there. While I was there, they said the Hopi and Maori sent the messenger to meet me. I do not know why me, but they gave me some messages to bring back here to Alaska. They must have known things that I do not know or can not see yet. And this is one of the things that I think they knew: that I was going to be invited to speak in places like this.

A Story of Family Love and Preparing for the worst.
I am, Angie, a mother of four children and a grandmother of two (so far) and we live in Maryland. My family is the joy of my life along with my extended family. We have many family events because we have a large family. I am not a part of any organized religion but I do consider myself more spiritual than the average person. I have found great comfort in Eckart Tolle, who has predicted a major "event" and a raised spiritual awareness.
I am battling with my own thoughts and fears about what may be ahead in the very near future for all of us. I've always felt that something monumental was going to happen in this world that would change this earth as we know it. After much reading, I've come to the conclusion that this is a very real possibility and not too far off.

Klaus Ra [right] drove a taxi on a little island called Aland, situated in the Baltic Sea, between Finland and Sweden. In February of 2012, his wife passed away from cancer, leaving him as a single parent to raise his 7 year old daughter, Tindra. Two weeks after that, a chauffeur demolished his uninsured taxi in an accident, leaving Klaus to start all over again.
Klaus has spent most of his life trying to understand the big picture. With a background in quantum physics, he struggles to include the polarity of nature in his understanding of such things as good and bad, God, the universe and our place in it.
Any philosophy or religion is only as good as how it comforts us during times of chaos. When Klaus was asked to share his thoughts with viewzone, he sent the following story that explains his ideas.

Advice from Hell (A Prison Inmate)
My name is Roy. I live in a high security prison in New Mexico. Inside here, I'm known as "Red" because I have red hair. Well, it used to be red. Now it's mostly yellow and white. I've been inside for 8 years now and I'm 57 years old. I'll never get out of here alive because I got a twenty year sentence and I contracted hepatitis-C from dirty needles.
Our internet access is very limited and supervised. I had to get permission to post this. I don't want you to think that influenced what I am going to say. But I want to be honest. Some things about prison life I had to cut out. My story was written over a couple of days after reading about your verbatim project.

Albert Laughter, Medicine Man (Diné People)
When I visited the Navajo Reservation for viewzone, back in 1998, a tribal representative told me to speak with Albert Laughter. Our hurriedly arranged interview took place in the summer on a warm and sunny day in Arizona, near 4-corners and Monument Valley.
Laughter brought his grandchildren, who played in the roadside pavillion where we met. At the time, I had no idea who this older man was. Later, when I told some of the local Navajo about our meeting they were extremely respectful towards him and asked where they could read what he told me.
In more than a decade, Albert Laughter has carried his skills as a Medicine Man to heal veterans with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), with much success. He continues to practice what he has always taught to others. And his teachings, even more relevant today, are presented here, as they were recorded, verbatim.

Advice from "The Recluse" in the Forest
One sunny day, while I was walking through the bush with my backpack on, I saw a tall guy who was wearing only jeans and a T-shirt. I was miles from any civilization and very surprised to see him. He was collecting berries and didn't even notice me coming. I said "Hi!" to his back and he turned around. There was no surprise, no fear or suspicion in his sky-blue eyes. In fact he was already smiling like he was meeting an old friend. That puzzled me. One meets all kind of people on the trail -- not always the good kind either -- and the rule of the thumb is, 'Better safe than sorry'.
But this guy didn't seem to care. The broad smile that broke out on his bearded, suntanned face left no doubt as to his identity. He sure was "one of ours". I asked him where he was camping and without any hesitation he led me into the thick forest. In the opening there stood a small log cabin.
I put up my weather-beaten old tent nearby and started cooking myself a lunch. He joined in and soon we were chatting away like two friends. It felt a little weird but, with this guy, there were no interpersonal barriers. None at all. And here is his story.

What Did Lord Krishna Say
Dr.C.P.Trivedi of India's Vedic Research Institute offers a Hindu perspective on these troubled times, reminding us of what Lord Krishna said at the height of tensions on the battle field, as depicted in the Bhagavad Gita.
We are reminded that God is inside of each person and that the consequences of our acts are for our own spiritual and ethical evolution. Dr. Trivedi also emphasizes that one does not need to be a devoted ascetic to benefit from seeking God. There is the other path of living a natural and ethical life. A person may not be known or appreciated by others, yet they seek a balance with nature that achieves the same end.
Krishna often reminded us that all paths lead to Him. And He is inside of us, outside of us and all around us. There's much to think about here.
