Rhawn Joseph is taking legal action on the basis that NASA isn't doing enough to investigate alien life. The author and researcher has filed the unusual lawsuit because he doesn't believe that NASA is doing everything possible to investigate potential signs of extraterrestrial life on Mars.
Joseph's main argument centers around the recent photographs taken by the Opportunity rover that show a strange rock appearing on the ground between shots [above]. At the time, NASA scientists concluded that the rock had been kicked in to frame by the rover's wheels, but Joseph maintains that there is something more to it and believes NASA should have conducted a more thorough investigation.

Scientists are baffled by a peculiar discovery made by NASA's Opportunity rover
January 22, 2014 Two NASA photographs of the surface of Mars in front of the Opportunity rover, taken Dec. 26 (left) and Jan. 8. NASA said the mysterious appearance of the rock in the interim was likely a result of the rover taking a short drive in the area, probably moving the rock. NASA/Reuters Scientists are stumped as to how a rock resembling a jelly doughnut mysteriously appeared on the surface of Mars as if out of nowhere, as discovered by NASA's Opportunity rover. The rover, which landed on Mars in 2004, took an image earlier this month of the peculiar rock, which was white around the outside and dark red in the middle. The rock was not present in earlier images of the same spot, located at the rim of Endeavour Crater. Chief NASA scientist Steve Squyres has a likely explanation. He said in a presentation last week that one of Opportunity's wheels probably kicked up the rock, which then slid into its field of view. Early testing of the "jelly" section of the rock revealed characteristics unlike any other rock the rover has discovered during its decade on Mars. The rock is high in sulfur and magnesium, and scientists are still trying to figure out why. Either way, the rock, dubbed "Pinnacle Island," is providing an unexpected science bonus. "Much of the rock is bright-toned, nearly white," NASA said in a statement on Tuesday. "A portion is deep red in color. Pinnacle Island may have been flipped upside-down when a wheel dislodged it, providing an unusual circumstance for examining the underside of a Martian rock." Opportunity landed on Mars in January 2004 on what was intended to be a three-month mission, but the rover ended up outstaying its original mission and has explored the planet for 10 years. Another rover, Curiosity, touched down on the opposite side of the Red Planet in 2012 to search for evidence of habitable environments in Mars' past. |
According to Joseph:
"The refusal to take close up photos from various angles... to take microscopic images of the specimen... to release high resolution photos, is inexplicable, recklessly negligent, and bizarre."
NASA has yet to comment on the lawsuit.

NASA has made it so hard to find these images but the information is hidden in plain sight on the Web. Google Moon and Mars have been a large help in finding these hi-definition images. Its hard to believe that there are only a few people who are willing to spend the time to find these objects.
It takes approximately 5 hours to scan each photo but the rewards are great. Editor's note: I found this one from an image of the surface of Mercury. It appears to show a saucer shaped object embedded in the dirt of that planet.
As you can see I only publish something that is definitely a strange artifact. Too many published photos show blurry structures and hard to see things that are not good examples of findings on the Planets. I am enclosing a few of the findings I have made and would like your opinion. Debunkers stay away. Your opinion is not worth the time to read.
I want further investigation into these photos and someone with the equipment to do so. I welcome researchers and professionals to look further into these images and maybe get a better view or image of my findings.
These are only a few of the discoveries I have made. Most UFO organizations area afraid to publish an article like this. This also make me wonder if they have their own agenda or maybe they are afraid of the truth.
The more information that we can supply to the public will increase our odds of making the government finally disclose what they know. Right now they look stupid because we all know, that they know, what's going on. Some will say I have no qualifications to do this but I say, "I do have eyes and I do have the passion to find out the truth." You do not have to be a doctor, professor, astronomer or scientist to find these things. All you need is the will to do it.

It has yet to investigate whether the revealed tomb had been manufactured from the same concrete material that was used for building ancient Japanese tomb of Konfun. The abrupt revelations raise questions for our exo planet experts. And, unless this tomb is not closely probed, it could remain a mystery for the people living on Earth.

A self-described scientist has filed a lawsuit alleging NASA is failing to properly investigate alien life.
Rhawn Joseph, who's written several books on extraterrestrial activity, wants the space agency to further analyze a strange rock on Mars, which he believes is proof of Martian activity.
The author claims researchers have not properly analyzed the stone, which somehow appeared in front of the Opportunity rover last week.
The jelly doughnut-shaped rock initially baffled scientists after it mysteriously showed up in images taken less than two weeks apart.
It's now believed it was simply knocked out of the ground by the planetary explorer.
But Joseph, a key writer with the online Journal of Cosmology, says the rock is "a living thing" and has now filed a lawsuit in a California court to make NASA examine it more closely.
Aimed at the agency and its Administrator Charles Bolden, Popular Science reports the suit requests NASA "perform a public, scientific, and statutory duty."
To do this, it says, NASA needs to "closely photograph and thoroughly scientifically examine and investigate a putative biological organism."
Joseph claims the rock was there the whole time, but that it just grew before it became visible.

Joseph now wants Bolden and his rover team to take 100 high resolution close-up in focus photos of the rock from all sides under appropriate lightning conditions with minimum glare.
He also wants to see 24 microscopic, in-focus images of the exterior, lip, walls and interior of the specimen under appropriate lighting conditions.
And, finally, he wants the rover team to make all of the pictures available to him so he can analyze them himself.
NASA has yet to comment on the suit.
