If this is your first visit to Yemen, you will likely disembark at Sana'a International Airport at about midnight. The airport is located about 20 km from the actual metropolis of Sana'a. After the long air trip, waiting to go through Yemen Customs and the night cab drive to Sana'a, you will be very happy to arrive at the best hotel in Sana'a, bar none. Each embassy sponsors artists and chefs from their home country to perform and entertain the other embassy staff that are stationed in Sana'a. This affords the hotel visitor an opportunity to taste different international dishes (cooked with Yemeni ingredients) and to watch diplomats dance to live music aside the spacious swimming pool in the hotel's courtyard.
