A powerful computer program predicts 2010 events...

I first heard about the "web bot" some years ago. There was a piece on the news about a man who had developed a computer program that could successfully predict trends and events of the future. His predictions were so accurate that the military and Wall Street were courting him and he was consulting for some of the biggest corporations.
The man was Clif High and his program generates reports called "Asymmetric Language Trend Analysis." I thought I'd take a look at these predictions and maybe I'd learn something about new software, the coming fashions or how many girlfriends of Tiger Woods will eventually be revealed. What I did not expect to learn was predictions about a global catastrophe, millions of people dying and extraterrestrials eating us! But that's what is in store for the next couple of years according to this very reliable computer program.
Background
According to Clif just about everyone has some degree of psychic ability. I can believe this because I recently did an article on the so-called "Eggs" -- random number generators that can pick up human thoughts and emotions from sensors placed all around the globe. It seems that humans can sense danger minutes or hours before something happens and the special computer programs developed by a scientist at Princeton can alert web users by a colorized "dot" [right] that you can download yourself. But Clif's program is far more impressive. According to Clif:
Clif's web bot can make predictions weeks -- even years -- in advance. And instead of a vague warning of something bad happening, Clif's program is very specific and uses words and phrases to define what will happen and even how it will affect the population.
First, you have to imagine that the internet is like one big mind, capable of millions and millions of different thoughts. These thoughts are the actual texts of web sites, blogs and chats that are happening around the clock, non-stop. The web bot program trolls the internet looking at certain "seed words" -- nouns -- and then tries to assess the emotional words used to describe these "seeds." It is especially looking for slang, since slang is a term which is derived from personal experience and is usually used to add some emotional content.
Let's use an example. A teenager might call his girlfriend a "babe" or "honey" or even "my bitch." These are emotionally charged words associated with a seed like "girlfriend."
But the program also compares these words to previous words used in the past and seeks out changes. Over time, if one refers to his girlfriend as "my honey" and this changes to "my old lady" then there is a notable change and the program will make note of this for its report. Of course, the web bot doesn't really care about one man's view of his mate -- it samples trends that affect large chunks of the world's population. Something has to be very important to make the web bot take notice.
The web bot is not just one program. According to Clif it is made up of 340 executable programs, written in PERL script and C+, which he initially developed to find future trends in the stock market. He says this worked successfully for him until he realized the potentials of the program to predict more important events. He tells a story of how he had invested in Microsoft until the web bot flagged the stock market for a sharp drop and he managed to get out just in time.
The web bot searches everywhere. Web sites and blogs talking about how to make bread or advice on car repairs are better than conspiracy or news web sites because the subtle changes in linguistics are more representative of the average person. They are not manipulated by censorship or worries about offending sponsors or creating excitement or entertainment.
Recent Examples
We'll get to the aliens and global catastrophes in a minute. First let's look at some recent success stories.
Before the Tsunami of 2004 he got a warnings that "three hundred thousand people" would die. This was right on the mark as reported in the world press.
About the predictions...
We should note here that the web bot doesn't predict the future. It predicts what most people will be saying -- what words they will be using -- when they talk about an event in the future, after it has happened.
It is as though we're looking through people's eyes in the future as they read the newspapers or whatever about an event. And so whatever it is they're reading is what we pick up -- not the reality of the event.
Another interesting phenomenon with the web bot is its ability to predict how strong an event will be. An event affecting a small population will show up days or weeks before it actually happens. The events of the 2004 tsunami were showing up about 8 weeks prior to the event. But one event, which has not yet happened, has been showing up for about seven years -- the collapse of the US dollar! Speaking about this Clif notes: "Yes, it's going to be huge -- planetary in fact.
What does the future hold for us?
Clif provides the report in a pdf file on his web site: www.halfpasthuman.com and charges just ten dollars ($10) for a download. The report is an interesting read. Clif tries to put his raw data into a story and uses [brackets] to denote the actual slang that his web bot finds to describe a particular event. He also is somewhat vague about specific groups or political parties, referring to them as TPTB (The Powers That Be). There are also some apparently made-up words like SpaceGoatFarts which he uses to refer to a category of people who know certain things yet keep the knowledge to themselves.
That being said, the picture Clif paints for our immediate future is gloomy, to put it mildly.
To set the mood, the dollar dies, taking along with it the wealth of everyone who didn't invest in gold or some other commodity. It's a huge, depressing event that leaves no one unchanged. Everything starts to wind down. But this is quickly diminished by the next, even worse, thing to happen.
He speaks of the Israeli's using a bomb -- perhaps a bunker busting bomb -- on a particular target inside Iran. People will speak of this as the great "Israeli mistake" as the detonation causes an unexpected explosion which spews black smoke, contaminated with some poison that sounds like radiation, that circles the globe. Crops are damaged, wide spread famine ensues and there is a slang for a kind of "death dance" that victims of this poison perform as a result of the excruciating pain they suffer immediately before they die.
Further along in time the surviving people come to learn that certain facts have been kept from them by the TPTB. They realize they have been betrayed by people in whom they gave their votes and trust and their anger grows strong. There are riots and murders as the starving population sacks the government, kills the royalty and lays waste to the Vatican and its secret library. The latter event results in the discovery of the "real history" of humanity which is much different from what we have been told. It involves extraterrestrials who view humans "as laboratory animals" and may have been interested in us for malevolent reasons (It has been suggested they actually eat us to absorb some kind of glandular secretions that get them high).
But wait, there's more!
The Sun begins to enter a "ribbon" of energy that it will traverse for 20 years. Electrical grids are wiped out, the land shakes with enormous earthquakes and civilization is brought to its knees. People hide behind their doors with guns in hand. There are many innocent deaths from innocent people being shot by mistake. The government is powerless and for all practical reasons non-existent. But, despite this, humanity does continue.
Will this REALLY happen?
Clif says his predictions are twice as accurate as what chance would allow. That means he is wrong half the time. But he quantifies this by saying that the errors are mainly in the specifics of the event. As one stands back and looks at the "big picture" one will see that the general description of the event is more correct. And let's not forget to say once again that the predictions are for the words that will be used to describe the event after it has occurred. The validity of the words with the actual event is not implied.
We can all hope that these next two years will bring about a blockbuster movie -- perhaps a sequel to "V" -- where human-eating aliens wander the streets of towns and villages, searching for starving humans who hide inside their homes to escape the radiation clouds that have killed everything on the planet. We can hope that this movie will be so popular that everyone will be talking about it, all the time, everywhere.

Comments: Viewzone again, I should have known. So you saw this one right on time, didn't you? You are in the hot zone again. Fantastic rundown on a major new artifact, the web as a psychic predictions playground with Clif High as the kindergarten chief who's listening in on the conversations. He actually does more for our knowledge (and entertainment, if you can call it that) than all the electronic media outlets on the entire planet together.
Have you noticed that Terence McKenna's Timewave 2012 (which can be downloaded for free at www.timewave2012.com) pretty much exactly traces a major event-series from early July 2010 on through the rest of the year? At least two of the Timewave "flavors" are spot-on early July. There was mention of this congruence on AboveTopSecret earlier this year. I just found it playing with the Timewave2012 software, a Java thing that is totally lightweight. Sort of like a desktop calendar. LOL. Difficult for us advanced primates to grok, but it can be done.
I hope this article sparks some movement into the right direction (whichever it is). A great job with the article, keep up the fine work of bringing arcane and otherworldly subjects into the realm of normal understanding (it there is such a thing).

This program reminds of Isaac Asimov's foundation series in which Hari Seldon could predict future trends by means of a science called "psycohistory". Web Bot appears to be something similar and instead of having to study different civilizations in order to gather data it has the internet as a source. Seldon knew that the empire was falling apart and the purpose of the foundation was to preserve knowledge and perhaps civilization. As a safeguard he created the second foundation which was kept secret from the first. Apparently we are heading in the same direction and perhaps there are people creating a foundation that will help us reflourish civilization after everything goes to shit here on earth. I truly hope that, money worshiping, war mongering and for profit religion are wiped out in the next era of humanity.

In mid 2001 Clif was working on his dictionary of words for the program to use as "seeds" when it hunts for descriptive changes. Starting alphabetically he had only gotten as far a words beginning with "M" when he began to get clues to an impending "accident" involving the "military" which was suggesting that the event would be a "tipping point", forever changing the way people everywhere acted and thought. After the events of 911 he realized that he would have gotten an enormous warning on the word "terrorism" had he gotten to that point in the alphabet.
