The New Normal...

Watching the robots struggle with the bolts on the top of the blowout protector valve reminded me of trying to change a tire in the rain and discovering the bolts were rusted and corroded. The 'bots had tool failures and there were times when it appeared the bolts would not budge. But, eventually, they all came off. The familiar cap, resembling Dr. Seusse's top hat, was replaced by a series of valves and pipes supposedly stopping the flow of the worst ecological disaster in American history.

I should be happy. I know it is the first step in helping to get all those poor fishermen and Gulf residents back to their status quo... but for some reason I am not. BP's success was a bit unsettling to me for two reasons.

First is the fact that for two months we all saw those eight bolts on the top of the blowout valve. It seemed clearly obvious that one should be able to unbolt the top and replace it -- either with a new valve or with a pipeline that could carry the oil and gas away to waiting tankers or an on-shore refinery. Why did it take so long?

In the cinema they can assemble a special team of retired astronauts to destroy an earth impacting asteroid in a couple of weeks. Of course, in the cinema it is the president who is in charge -- not some arrogant corporation.

But that's all in the past now -- right? The well is about to be stopped but I still feel unsettled... why?

I had to do some soul searching to find the answer. It was something I didn't want to face and, frankly, I am ashamed to admit.

Since the well exploded back in April it has been the focus of many conspiracy theories and has worked its way into the doomsday culture of 2012. So many people bought into the expectation that the well was going to explode -- that a huge methane bubble was forming under the sea floor and was about to let go. A huge tsunami would then sweep 20 miles inland, destroying everything. The scenario left a huge hole in the sea floor that would require a nuclear weapon to melt and seal the earth. In other scenarios, problems with executing this nuclear plan marked the beginning of the end for humanity as a chaotic exodus of Gulf residents fled North.

Think I'm kidding? Look...

One of the more popular oracles of future doom has been the Webot, a computerized program that has had much success in predicting future events by analyzing subtle changes in language that people use on the world wide web.

We've done articles on this phenomenon HERE and mentioned their predictions specific to the oil disaster in our article describing The Nuclear Option for closing the leak. Here it is again [below]:

Timewave Theories

One of the fascinating things about the Webot predictions has been how closely they mirror Terence McKenna's TimeWave Theory. Again, you can read about it HERE in a viewzone article. McKenna's discovery of the components of time (novelty and routine) is too long to discuss again here, but is based on the ancient I-Ching patterns. Since hindsight is always 100%, McKenna used the wave pattern he generated mathematically to show how history conformed to this graph. Later, another mathemetician, Watkins, noticed small errors in the mathematics and corrected them, giving us the "revised TimeWave" [see below].

Like the detailed analysis provided by the Webot (see www.halfpasthuman.com), the date of July 11th was considered pivotal for humanity. It was the among the highest points (routine) that our civilization would reach before we began our plunge into the depths of novelty -- interpreted by many as a time of anarchy, chaos and calamity. McKenna's original graph really emphasized this date while Watkins' chart places July 11th as the date when we begin a sense of routine that plateaus until November 14th, at which point it quickly deteriorates.

But, instead of an asteroid, earthquake or the dollar death... July 11th was the day that BP began to cap the Gulf oil well. Aside from that, nothing really significant happened -- at least nothing of the scale that would plunge humanity into an extinction event.

But let's continue looking...

Dangers from Space

We've heard lots about the Sun, predictions of a "Sun disease" that will cause ejections of plasma to irradiate our atmosphere. Yes, there is a solar cycle, number 24 as they are calculated by scientists, and it is supposed to be happening now. But check out the current solar data [below]:

Everything looks normal. In fact, we should expect more solar activity right now but NASA has told us that the cycle appears to be delayed for some reason. Although calculations predict number 24 to be one of the most active and violent solar cycles in our history, these charts indicate that no such activity is happening. Certainly nothing significant happened on July 11th!

Since we're on the topic of "Space" I should also point out the disappointing results of our investigation into "Planet-X".

Made famous by the brilliant translations of ancient Sumerian cuneiform by Zecharia Sitchin in his book, The Twelfth Planet, "planet-x" was known to the ancients as "Nibiru" and had a 3600 year, eccentric orbit around our Sun. As it periodically approached the inner solar system it dislodged asteroids and caused disasters to prior human civilizations (including the Biblical "flood"). Some merged this story with the Mayan calendar and predicted that the return of Nibiru in 2012 was a probable explanation of future events.

If Nibiru is really out there in space, and returning for 2012, it should be visible already. While there have been many false alarms, a team of Spanish astronomers claims to have spotted the object -- which they say is actually a brown dwarf Sun.

The image of this flaming object [bove] gained popular acceptance -- some say because of its resemblance to the Firefox browser logo. When first observed, some 20 years ago, the object was barely visible but had an infrared heat signature. Later, when it was examined closely with more modern equipment, it was discovered to have increased in size and heat. This made many Nibiru proponents say, "See! It's getting closer!" and considerable web myth began to surround this object. (see viewzone story HERE)

When the dust settled, the object, officially known as "G1.9", was determined to be a supernova -- an exploding and expanding fireball that was once a star. It's many light years away and not part of our solar system. Even the much used photograph was a composition of two different scans of the star, examined in different heat and light wavelengths.[Above]

So what's left?

In the beginning of this article I confessed that I was not thrilled by the success of the oil well repair. I think I discovered why. It's because I was covertly convinced that some disaster had really started -- something big that would shake up humanity and re-arrange society like some voodoo bones tossed by a shaman. I was hoping that all the petty political arguing, the talk about unemployment and the coming depression, the wars and rumors of wars, the inhumanity of man to man (and children) -- all of this would be wiped clean by some very real catastrophe that would force us to start over, new and fresh, and maybe "get it right" this next time.

Yeah... there's still hope that something will happen. It's looking more and more that the Isrealis will bomb Iran and start the nukes going off in the Mid-east and Asia. There is a new la niña brewing in the Pacific Ocean that will bring drought and famine to North and South America in the coming months. There are always new and improved diseases, like Morgellons and improved H1N1 virus. North Korea could always make a cobalt based "doomsday bomb" [above] that would kill everyone on the planet -- and they don't even need a missile to launch it!

Somewhere, maybe in an underground city in the Ural Mountains or below the Vatican, someone has even more sinister plans to shake things up. But do we really need such punishment to wipe the slate clean?

HOPE!?

Maybe they were a couple of days too early. They did come a long way, so that's understandable. Perhaps the earth shaking event was not something BAD... but rather was intended to be GOOD news, hope and optimism.

On the evening of July 7th, at about dinner time, some visitors checked in at Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport in eastern China. They hovered around for over an hour, beamed lights down at the people watching them, and then flew off. Hundreds of digital cameras captured their vehicle from many different angles and locations. The excitement closed the airport and diverted flights for hours.

The craft was one of the newer models -- the cigar shaped with lots of lights -- and hopefully the occupants will find somewhere to land where they will not be shot at or nuked. Hopefully they bring a message similar to Klaatu:

"I am leaving soon, and you will forgive me if I speak bluntly. The universe grows smaller every day, and the threat of aggression by any group, anywhere, can no longer be tolerated. There must be security for all, or no one is secure.
Now, this does not mean giving up any freedom, except the freedom to act irresponsibly. Your ancestors knew this when they made laws to govern themselves and hired policemen to enforce them. We, of the other planets, have long accepted this principle. We have an organization for the mutual protection of all planets and for the complete elimination of aggression. The test of any such higher authority is, of course, the police force that supports it. For our policemen, we created a race of robots. Their function is to patrol the planets in spaceships like this one and preserve the peace.
In matters of aggression, we have given them absolute power over us. This power cannot be revoked. At the first sign of violence, they act automatically against the aggressor. The penalty for provoking their action is too terrible to risk.
The result is, we live in peace, without arms or armies, secure in the knowledge that we are free from aggression and war. Free to pursue more... profitable enterprises. Now, we do not pretend to have achieved perfection, but we do have a system, and it works.
I came here to give you these facts. It is no concern of ours how you run your own planet, but if you threaten to extend your violence, this Earth of yours will be reduced to a burned-out cinder. Your choice is simple: join us and live in peace, or pursue your present course and face obliteration. We shall be waiting for your answer. So that's why I'm unsettled. What about YOU?

At present, 2010/07/31, BP's well from hell is reported to be capped. The massive discharge has been halted. The well will be considered sealed after the bore is filed with mud followed by cement. The only problem with this scenario is that the bore hole would have to be undamaged for the sealing process to be effective. I have a doubt as to its integrity. If BP proceeds with the mudding and cementing process to a damaged bore the fix may not be permanent. Given a suitable length of time, pressures from below could drive fluids from the outer bore wall into the surrounding strata. These fluids could exploit avenues of escape through fissures in layers of strata to the sea floor. It would not require a great length of time before the discharge of fluids becomes apparent sometime in the near future. Let us hope that the integrity of the well bore is not on par with that of BP.

That little gulf coast leakage is more than a little leak and we all know that, it will take years on before people can use it for a food source supply. Combine this with the fact the u.s. is almost in a complete financial collapse and the fact the the u.s. will need to retrieve food sources from outside. It will be like africa and it will destoy the world economy and maybe for the rest of the world also a food supply problem, i don't expect a fat christmas but one with small meals and sober.

I live right here on the Louisiana coast. I think you are missing the point. Yes, we are glad to see that the well will be capped soon but so much damage has already been done, and will continue to be done, from this tragedy. We haven't yet seen what the results will be of the dispersants that were used, or the impact on the long term health of the people who live near the oil or work to clean it up.

Look, it's like if you had a release of radioactivity at a nuclear power plant. The initial event is bad, and then the release stops -- but what that radioactivity does to people can go on for generations, killing, deforming, poisoning. This oil spill hasn't even begun to take its toll on us. Please don't forget us down here! We will be suffering for a long time. It's not time to party yet.

Interesting story but you downplay the significance of what DID happen on July 11th -- the oil well was capped. If you look at the Watkins graph you will see that this stabilizes the situation temporarily on that date until November, when things totally fall apart. I don't think that means the predictions didn't happen. On the contrary they did. We just have to wait now for November when everything seems to predict we will hit the fan!

Hmmm. Hold on and don't rush to judgement here. The well is not yet stopped. In fact, because the well casing is broken below the sea floor they may have problems when they stop up the flow and cause the oil and gas to be diverted outside the casing. The next 48 hours anything could happen.

I find it kind of humorous that your top 2 articles are contradicting each other. One says don't worry because nothing is happening and the next tells us how to prepare for a disaster requiring portable toilets and purifying water. Which is it?

I think that we are going to have a pole shift. It is just too early now to see any signs. The predictions are more than two years in the future so everything might be fine right now but it will get worse in the next year or so. At least that's what I think.

In all fairness to Cliff High and his Webot predictions, he has posted an update in which he says that the July 11th date will probably not bring about any great changes. I have included a snipit from www.halfpasthuman.com below:

The issue is the July 11th break into 18 and a half hours of release language. George, and apparently others, are under the impression that some big 'thing' would happen on that date. This may well be the case, however, note that the release language (all the downward slanting lines in the charts below) continues all summer as punctuations to building tension. So the pattern from July 11th through to November 8th is one of building tension and then release of tension, almost on a daily basis. Note that this is the USUAL state of our charts for the planet. What is unusual is that we have been in a very long period of building tension for these past few months. What is also unusual is the 'tipping point' that is forecast to occur over 4 days in November from the 8th through the 11th inclusive. Then what is even more unusual is that the release language continues unabated, without deviation for over 2 months, from November 11th through to January 23rd. Please note some slight distortion in the charting software related to fonts alters the dates placement visually. The above dates are from the raw data, not from charting.

Hi Gary,

I am an not the least bit convinced this oil spill is contained. Yes, what we all saw on the video camera underwater on the well head was put there immediately to keep our eyes glued to that, a dangling carrot if you will. Yes, maybe the cap is in place and capturing the majority of oil they want us, the sheep to see, but I just received a report yesterday, 07/11/2010 that TAR BALLS are being found on the beaches of Cocoa, Florida. Cocoa Beach is on the Atlantic side of Florida, and, it apparently did not arrive on the beaches via the ocean current. So, how did it get there?? Could there be a fracture under the state of Florida? I'll let you guys figure this one out.

The defining moment of societal collapse will be shortly after it is realized that money is useless, in a few months time.

Historical record shows that periodically money sickens and sometimes expires leaving bewildered citizens bemused that their life savings are no longer worth the paper they are printed on. One does not have to go back far for an example, it has happened in living memory, our tendency is to forget.

The sickness of money is always the same, the infection and symptoms never waver... this is useful since performing the money health check is simplified.

The sickness sets in with the printing and distribution of money in large quantities with no asset to secure value for it. When a government finds itself mired in sovereign debt the only way to fall-stall the inevitable economic evaporation is to begin printing money - furiously.

The time will coincide with the difference between the time-wave charts. The monetary system collapse will herald the beginning of Social Metamorphosis.
